The Rodan Family Foundation was established in May 2018 by Katie & Amnon Rodan. Funds are targeted to be spent down through 2035 in an effort to drive strategic, radical change in the founders’ lifetimes. The foundation is a family affair—both children Elana Rodan Schuldt & Daniela Rodan are actively involved.

 

Katie Rodan, Director

Katie Rodan is a dermatologist, entrepreneur, and author. She is co-founder of the anti-aging skincare company Rodan + Fields, co-creator of the acne management system Proactiv. Katie recently retired from private cosmetic dermatology practice after 38 years. Katie received her bachelor’s degree with high honors in history from the University of Virginia, her medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at Stanford University School of Medicine. 

Amnon Rodan, Director

Amnon Rodan is Chairman Emeritus of Rodan + Fields. He is dedicated to increasing service opportunities in the U.S. with a focus on the state of California. He is also co-President of the Aspen Art Museum. Amnon received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Loyola Marymount and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.

Elana Rodan Schuldt, President & CEO

Elana serves as President & CEO of the Rodan Family Foundation, where she leads strategic, evidenced-based giving towards the foundation’s goals. Elana currently serves as the Board co-President of EarlyJ. Elana is also a 2022 Bay Area Wexner Heritage Fellow. Past leadership positions include board member of Moishe House and the JCC East Bay. Before this, Elana worked for nearly 10 years at Rodan + Fields with a focus on digital marketing in a peer-driven model. Elana received a bachelor’s degree in Human Development from the University of California, Davis.

Daniela Rodan

Daniela leads the Judge Harry Pregerson social justice grant portfolio. She also serves as an advocate & a resource for people living with OCD. Daniela attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied Mechanical Engineering.
